I came in mid February and the waterfall was very nice but had only little water. Still good for a swim though. The 20 minute hike through the forest of Mount Meru was pretty cool, but the return is demanding as you need to climb a lot of stairs. Entry TZS 10,000 + a guide tip which in my case was another 15 thousand.

Must visit when in Arusha. The waterfall located in Mt Meru conservancy is under TWS. entrance is 4000 Tzshs with a guide fee of 10000 TZshs. The path to the falls is well maintained. The falls are wonderful. The camping and picknick site is also great.

The hike is beginner friendly. Such a nice waterfall well tucked in the Meru Forest Reserve. The drive / ride to the starting point is what I dreaded the most. The road is in a terrible state. Low clearance cars will definitely struggle getting there. The hike is straight forward but they insist on one getting a guide…i don’t know why…

Amazing waterfall in Arusha. Must place visit. The hike is beautiful and the destination better. Beautiful waterfall on the slopes of mount Meru, that normally requires a short walk to get to. It is part of the early stages of the Themi river, that flows through Arusha's city centre and into its southern outskirts.Hike to the falls and enjoy the beautiful scenery, or take a dip if you feel like. The hike takes you through the Themi river valley, one of the only ways to access the enclosure where the falls are located, so wear your hiking boots. No special tools or climbing skills are required to get there, but a bit of stamina is necessary to make your way through a valley filled with pebbles, rocks and boulders - some of which may be slippery. But when you finally get there, a picturesque scene awaits you. Just remember to get your permits from the ranger post at Napuru picnic site or TANAPA before heading out.Entry for locals 2000tsh per adult. Camping is available. 10000tsh for 1 tent per night bring your sleeping bags and enjoy the view.

There's 2 waterfalls. Great Camping Site. The hiking to the falls is adventurous. Prepare over 50K for One night camp, especially if in a group. Bon Fire present. Carry a jacket as it can get really cold
